About L-3 EDD CTL
L-3 Communications, Electron Devices, California Tube Labs (CTL) designs, manufactures and rebuilds high-power vacuum tubes for a wide variety of applications in the frequency range of 300 MHz to 18,000 MHz, with power levels up to 3 million Watts. L-3 EDD CTL's facility is located in Watsonville, CA.
L-3 EDD CTL's product lines include:
- Industrial CW magnetrons, at 896, 915, 928 and 2450 MHz with power levels from 10 kW through 125 kW
- Pulsed magnetrons at frequencies from 2 to 18 GHz, with peak power levels to 3,000 kW
- Rebuilt Klystron amplifiers for CW link and accelerator applications
L-3 EDD CTL is a leading supplier of vacuum tubes to OEMs and end-users of:
- Medical therapeutic and surgical X-ray equipment
- Industrial microwave / RF heating and curing equipment
